Ramakrishna Kutir Almora
   (May 2016)

In March 2016 I spent about a week in the kutia (i.e. bunglow) of Sri Trilochana Shastri (of Bangaluru), at Satauli village in Nainital district of Uttarakhanda. And at the end of March, came to Ramakrishna Kutir, Almora. After couple of days stay, I started for Mayavati; before leaving the ashrama, the president of the Ashrama asked me to come back again in May for a month for sewa.
So reached Almora ashrama in the end of April 2016 from Nashik via Delhi-Kathgodam.

   Sewa - The Ashrama was preparing for its centenary celebration and for the occasion it was decided that a small booklet in Hindi, on the subject 'Swami Vivekananda's Stay in Almora' be brought out. I was involved in translating old English articles on the topic into Hindi, finalizing the design, layout etc., proof-reading the draft, co-ordinating with local printers for timely publication etc. Br. Bhaskar and other monks of the Ashrama were helpful as also were the President, devotees, and workers of the Ashrama. The hindi booklet was published in time and was made public during the celebrations; senior monks from Belur and Mayavati graced the occasion.

After the celebration I had about a weeks time before moving to Advaita Ashrama, Mayavati. So went from Almora to Guptakashi via Gwaldham; stayed with Dr Tulsidas Mj and Amol. (Video:View of Kedar Vally from Guptakashi)
From there completed the Kedarnath Darshan (hectic climb lasting almost 7-8 hours and night stay at tents erected by Army) in 2 days and returned back to Almora.
