In January 2018, when the construction of the Kuti started, we had anticipated that by mid-feb, most of the work can be finished!
So it was thought that Sri Ramakrishna Tithi Puja (17 Feb 2018) would be celebrated as the openning of Kuti. Unfortunately by that
date only foundation plinth and pillers were ready; the wooden setup for slab was fixed but actual slab-work had not started.
It was decided that Puja be conducted anyway; so friends and well-wishers were called for the Puja. Also the Ghoti Siddhayoaga center
devotees were invited. By the Grace of Sri Ramakrishna and Maa Sarada, exactly a year after Bhoomi-Pujan on Sri Sarada Devi Tithi Puja 2017, the Kuti was ready with inner as well as outer painting done; hence the Holy Mother Tithi Puja for 2018 was celebrated in the completed Kuti itself. When Sri Ramakrishna Tithi Puja was planned on 17 Feb 2018 at Kavnai Kuti, some sadhaka friends were called for the Puja. Many being at various locations in India and being busy that day due to Puja at their place, couldn't come to Kavnai. But they promised to come at later date. Raju Karemore came sometime in April-May 2018; at that time the work of fixing door-frames was going on. In May, Br. Jnanananda came from Andhra Pradesh; after Nashik, Tryambakeshwar, and Shirdi darshana, we came directly to Kavnai from Shirdi. We spent an evening at the site and came back to Nashik on Prashan Deole's bike. In November 2018, Vinoth Kumar of Theni came and we stayed a night in the kuti. In January 2019, Br. Bhaskar Mj (Swami Bhajanananda) of Almora came for staying two months in kuti and at the end of February 2019 Sudhir Akarte of Amaravati came. Bhasker Mj, Mangesh and Sudhir stayed together one night at kuti before proceeding to Rishikesh. In January 2019, Swami Shrikanatananda and Sachin Maharaj of Ramakrishna Math Pune had come to Kavnai college for books, clothes distribution along with devotees of Nashik center. They all came to kuti after the function for some time and had tea. Devadatta Kulkarani visited in the end of May 2019 and later after Navaratri, Raju Karemore again visited Kavnai. After Diwali Jnaneshwar Maharaj of Newase and in December-end Balkrishna Maharaj (Swami Gaurikantananda) of Ramakrishna Ashrama Rajkot visited the Kuti. In 2020, due to COVID Pandemic, most of the year nobody travelled much and hence there were no visitors to the kuti except Ajay Khamkar and his family, who visited breifly for few hours sometimes in late 2020. In May 2021 (31st May) Manoj Nagarkar came from Snehalaya (Ahamednagar) and stayed for couple of days (till 4th June); he liked the place and we discussed many topics. ----------- Om Tat Sat ----------- |
